Hi Terri! Thank you so much
for meeting with us. It was truly helpful. Gracie is doing very well. I think
the biggest difference has been us though. We talk about our meeting with you
often. I believe that it helped greatly just to talk about all our
frustrations
and get them out in the open. We also decided that we were comparing Gracie to
other dogs and that wasn't doing anybody any good. We took your suggestions and
made Brad the "fun one". Gracie actually came to him for the 1st time this past
week. She stood still to get her harness on and again she came to him while he
was sitting on the floor. Yippy! :) That was wonderful! We've seen a
difference in us by just loosening up with her. She seems less anxious and
happier. We got her some chew toys and she's even been playing with them. She
didn't do that before. Meal time is going much better also. Thank you so much
for taking time to meet with us and give us your expert advice.

It was a pleasure meeting with you. You gave me lots of wonderful information. I have taken LanieAnne out 3 times now for short walks and we are doing so much better. I haven't had anyone come to the door yet to practice that but at least I know what to do so I am looking forward to answering the door now. I have committed myself to walking her every day even in the dark at night when I get home (we both need the exercise). The information you gave to me makes so much sense and is so easy......why didn't I think of it myself? Of course the big step will come when we merge the two packs but I am really hopeful that we will be able to do that by spring time. LanieAnne
Life is much better here. Beau continues to improve with unexpected & expected
guests. Beau and Oscar are crating together very well. I have started to leave
the TV on, so that it may seem like someone is still at home. I have left them
for 4 hours, and all was as it should be when I returned.
On another note, Beau is doing so well that I am afraid to believe it.
Yesterday, he actually played with Hudson, the other puppy. I watch him out in
the yard when I'm in the house and he is content, out running around, sniffing,
being a dog. It is a beautiful sight. If he wants to come back in, he just comes
to the door and sits or lays down, no pacing. He doesn't follow me everywhere I
go, but if I'm upstairs a few minutes he will come to investigate, which is fine
and a terrific improvement. It is just so heart-warming to see him feeling and
acting safe and content. I can't help but believe he has to feel better.
Thank you once again for coming here and helping us. I follow the Good Dog
Pyramid pretty well....except for free lunch & affection part. I definitely get
those out of order at least once a day....progress, not perfection.

con't
from Jean...2nd e-mail sent to me....
Absolutely, you can
post my feedback. Also, a photo of the "real" Beau; all prior photos are blurry
and awful as he was always so hyper vigilant.
Words cannot express the joy I feel when I, and others, look at Beau and see a
dog that feels safe, calm and happy. Listening to you, following through and
relieving him of responsibilities that were mine, has indeed given Beau a life.
Prancing, frolicking, playing....whatever you want to call it, Beau is having
FUN!
Beau
I'm grateful I didn't stop searching for YOU, the one willing and caring enough
to COME HERE and SEE that Beau's "problems" weren't his, but mine.
We could be your "poster child"....BEFORE YOU PUT YOUR "PROBLEM" DOG DOWN, CALL
TERRI...SHE SAVED BEAU FROM PAYING FOR MY MISTAKES!

Hello! I just wanted to let you know that things with the pack are going well. We are doing the things that you suggested. We have tested our dog on people that she has in the past been kooky with and she seems much better. We do think that time will help.
We had her ears checked
and got her some antibiotics and have been cleaning them. They seem much
better. Thank you for everything!

It was truly a pleasure
meeting with you. Thank you for taking time
out of your day and meeting with our pack! After you had left our home
Bruiser had a calmness about him which was very nice.
We've already begun training Bruiser not to linger on the back of the couch by closing the blinds during the day and reinforcing it during the evening hours when we have them cinched back up. It truly makes a world of a difference...a lot less barking. Now we just got to get Griffin on the bandwagon.
Warm Regards, Noelle, Harrisburg PA
Thanks so much. Last night was GREAT! Your assessment and recommendations are spot on, and now we have solid direction for what we want to achieve. I just hope I can follow through consistently!

As a foster mom for Furry Friends, it has always been most reassuring and helpful to know that I can call on Terri whenever I have any questions or concerns. Her compassion and advice have helped me on more occasions than I can count, and it is especially uplifting to know that when my fosters are adopted, Terri so willingly and kindly offers guidance to the adoptive parents through the adjustment period and whenever any issues arise. Her answers to my questions are clear and well defined, and I know that I can go back to Terri again and again if I need her.
Thanks so much for helping. You gave me advice before on my foster Thumper. He was nipping at us when we tried to take him outside in the rain or put him in his pen. I followed the advice you gave me and he got better. When he was adopted, I forwarded his new family the advice you gave me. They followed the advice also and Thumper has never tried to nip at them! Although he still doesn't like the rain :) We visited him a few weeks ago. They had a picnic and Thumper was the center of attention. He loved it. His new mom has even started to volunteer for Furry Friends. Thanks again for taking your time to help these dogs. Thumper

Thank
you so much, Terri! We've been following your directions and Skippy
is doing great. I'm a bit of a panic-er and I think I may have jumped the
gun on freaking out. Skippy no longer pushes the legs out from under the
greyhounds so they are much happier with him. We have a big fenced yard so
he's had a lot of playtime. I have a basket full of tennis balls that we
play with once or twice a day and he loves it. We've been working on sit,
down, stay and wait and I can't get over how quick he picks things up.
Thanks again for all your help,
Kelly
We were at the end of our rope with our sweet Cappie until you sent us the information/articles on housetraining. In combination with crating, the information has helped our boy so that he now has NO accidents in the house at all. Cappie now understands that the inside houseplants are not the place to do his business, and we are all much happier about that!
Thanks, Amy Bowser, Manchester, MD
Just a note to say thanks so much for your very useful suggestions in helping our little Hershey girl get over her separation anxiety. Having been adopted from a shelter and foster home, she was definitely having issues with being left alone during the day, whether for long or short periods of time. The tips you provided on how to gradually acclimate her to our comings and goings really helped Hershey girl to understand that 'mommy' would return and that she was not being deserted again! Now she sleeps peacefully while we are gone and is becoming more and more accustomed to our routines. Still, she is always VERY happy to see me come in the door and I get a very nice greeting from my baby!

Friends Network is very thankful to Terri and her vast knowledge
that has helped us save many lives. Recently, she helped a dog that many.jpg)
would have discarded, get into a phenomenal home. She was diligent with
researching natural remedies and various techniques that helped our
special Kye find his new home. Without, Terri, Kye would not have had the
chance at a lifetime of happiness. This is just one of the dogs Terri has
helped FFN with, but I can say that I have never met a more knowledgeable and
loving individual who is committed to helping not only dogs, but the people
who love them.

I think I told you that Al's friend was coming out from Michigan. Bart did amazing!!! Of course we had Tom give him his "passion" (as you call it). My parents spent the night later that week and Bart did wonderful with them. This past weekend my friend and her daughter were out for 3 days. Against my wishes and my pleading, my friend's daughter kept getting in Bart's face. I kept telling her not to push her luck and to back off but being the 9 year old she is, she didn't listen. Anyway......Bart gave her lots of kisses.
Thanks for all your help with him!! It's so nice to know that he can be around people - with tons of supervision. I was afraid that he was always going to have to be in a different room when we had company. I love having him be able to be included.

I would like to to thank you so much for taking time to meet Cassidy. She really seemed to enjoy meeting you as well. I also appreciate such a thorough evaluation report.

Anyway. I felt having my Mom there would be good to have a second opinion of the situation. When we got there we walked in and right away Timmy ran in and found a basket full of tennis balls!!! He was sold instantly...although of course he thought we were just visiting this cool house with tons of his favorite toy.
